Feedback and Suggestions for Inner IDEA 2007

Please give us your thoughts and/or feedback on Inner IDEA 2006 so that we may consider them as we plan Inner IDEA 2007. Namaste.

Comments:

It was a great 1st

It was a great 1st conference, what I noticed was how well organized it all was, and the few "glitches" were handled by staff willing to provide whatever was needed, from extra copies of handouts to new audio equipment for non-functioning devices.
One thing I'd like to see more of is being more "green" with biodegradable utensils, reuseable bags, refillable water bottles (vs plastic cups), etc. These are some suggestions to consider for 2007, & this is a link (http://www.harmonyfestival.com/greening.shtml)) to the Harmony Festival's page on "being green" & while not all suggestions will be appropriate for Inner IDEA, there are overall suggestions that are worthy of our attention and intention of living in balance & with respect for the environment.

Thanks & Namaste-

P.S. double-sided printing, high post-consumer content recycled paper, electronic notices/registration, and reusable eating ware (instead of disposable) for the meals are all "green" ways already implimented.

conference feedback

I enjoyed the Inner IDEA conference very much. The best way to express my experience is that my heart was so "full" during my time there. The energy was calming, yet rejuvinating and I returned with a renewed spirit. I agree with another attendee that I wish some of the sessions would have been presented more than once. There were many times that I had 3 "first choices". I'm also hoping there will be more Tai Chi scheduled in the next Inner Conference. Im sorry that next year's event has been priced at a significant higher rate. Its hard to convince my employer of the value. Travel costs are not likely to come down either. Maybe a conference on the east coast is a consideration.

Great Conference!

I really enjoyed the conference! I'd love for it to be slightly longer (maybe just one more day). I'd also like it if there was a little more "community" time, like maybe a drum circle, and just a little more free time for showering, talking with new friends, or exploring the resort. Pre-conference workshops would be nice, perhaps with ceritfication options for things like Reiki, Quantum Touch or coaching. Maybe sessions could be repeated a couple of times; there were several times throughout the conference that my top 3 choices were all sessions that I really wanted to attend, but most were not repeated. I would have liked for Nia to be called "Nia" in the session names - I had to look at the presenters' names to know. I would enjoy learning about up and coming or less known ideas in addition to the "mainstream" - I thought it was great that Feldenkrais was represented. In the area of business, I would have enjoyed learning ideas on how to infiltrate Corporate America, get them to buy into the concept, and build corporate wellness. More ideas on how to make a living without teaching 25 classes each week, i.e. creating and marketing lectures and workshops, books, retreats, etc. All in all, I thought it was GREAT! I'm looking forward to seeing the lineup for next year!!
